• that short burst
   of conversation
  was not long enough
   to say or ask
  for that matter
   anything that really
  mattered...
   nor time for memory
  recall...like how is
   the white crepe myrtle
  and the spotted
  dottied begonia
  or the
  star-yellowed sedum
   that crawls
  your gardens floor...
   or simply
   so to speak
  without eye-to-eye
   no brows raised
   how are you?
